Netflix Renews 'Grace and Frankie' for Season 5, RuPaul to Guest Star

Wednesday Feb 14, 2018

Netflix announced Wednesday it is renewing its comedy "Grace and Frankie" for a fifth season, where RuPaul will guess star, Deadline reports.

The announcement comes about a month after the show's fourth season bowed on the streaming service. The fifth season will hit Netflix in 2019.

RuPaul will play Benjamin Le Day, "a formidable and quick-witted adversary who faces off with Grace (Jane Fonda) and Frankie (Lily Tomlin)," Deadline writes.

Production for the new season was already underway when Netflix made its official renewal announcement.

This isn't the first time RuPaul has appeared in a comedy. He recently had a stint on the canceled Netflix comedy "Girlboss" as well as Comedy Central's acclaimed "Broad City."
