Quinnipiac Poll Finds Trump's Approval at Near-Record Low of 35 Percent

Tuesday Nov 14, 2017

The results are in from a recent survey and it "must feel like Groundhog Day in Trumpland," according to Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.

President Trump's approval rating is at a near-record low according to results from a Quinnipiac University national poll which found that American voters disapprove 58 - 35 percent of the job the former reality tv star is doing. The number represents only a meager improvement over his lowest score, a 61 - 33 percent disapproval August 2.

Tuesday's approval rating compares to a 56 - 38 percent disapproval in an October 11 survey by the independent Quinnipiac University.

In a new low for this measure, only 40 percent of American voters say Trump is fit to serve as president, while 57 percent say he is not fit.

It was "good news and bad news" for Trump regarding American voters' impressions on media coverage of his presidency. While 58 percent disapprove of how the media covers the Trump White House, more trust the media (54 percent) than they do Trump.
