What was the world like before there were thirst-traps? A better place, some may argue but for the past decade they have been ubiquitous in culture, especially gay culture.

It's been said that the term entered common usage in 2018 when publications like the New York Times and GQ mentioned it without explanation.

They also have exploded in queer culture, giving every hunk the chance to share themselves to the world. And I guess we can say we are kind-of glad they do.
