NEW YORK, NY - Elements Showcase, the definitive beauty and fragrance design marketplace, hosted its fourth event in New York City on August 20th and 21st since debuting in January 2011.

The tradeshow, founded by Frederick Bouchardy, Jeff Lawson and Ulrich Lang, generated record sales and drew approximately 3000 visitors who came to connect with the 115 exhibiting brands-nearly three times the 40 vendors that exhibited at Elements' first show just 19 months ago.

Exhibitors, buyers, journalists, bloggers and fragrance and beauty aficionados gathered for the summer tradeshow at Skylight West and were treated to a nature-inspired redesign of the space by Brooklyn-based artists Sarah Cihat and Michael Miller.

Global brands large and small exhibited at the event, including Histoires de Parfums, Stella Cadente, Karin Herzog, Cire Trudon, Lili Bermuda, Parfums DelRae and Frapin.

"Elements Showcase has become a world class tradeshow, and we are extremely pleased to report that this edition provided a larger number of both international and regional buyers and retailers, which resulted in record sales and number of orders written during the August 2012 event," said co-founder Lawson.

"PGS has had our eye on [a specific client] for a long time, as we always thought that we would be a great line for them to carry: We spoke to them at the Showcase and sealed the deal!" said Lisa Brodar, of Portland General Store.

Buyers visiting the tradeshow included Henri Bendel, Barneys New York, Saks Fifth Avenue, Opening Ceremony, Net-a-Porter, AHAlife, Birchbox, OpenSky, Muzio Profumi, Stanley Korshak, Forty Five Ten, Aedes de Venustas, Alchemist, Odin, FSC Barber, C.O. Bigelow, Anthropologie, W Hotels, Rosewood Hotels, Kuhl-Linscomb, Kitson, Tomorrowland, Club Monaco, Takashimaya, West Elm, Woodley & Bunny, Blackbird and Steven Alan, among others.

Media in attendance included Women's Wear Daily, Vogue, W, The New York Times, New York Magazine, New York Observer, Allure, Town & Country, Departures, Real Simple, Marie Claire, Details, Men's Journal, GQ, Gotham, Lucky, Whole Living, O The Oprah Magazine, People, Fragrantica and Beauty Press.

"We were very pleased with how the event turned out and were very impressed with the caliber of the attendees from both a retail and press perspective," said Lee Davis of Worth Paris, Inc., representing Aigner, Agent Provocateur, Jean Patou and Talika.

For the August 2012 edition, Elements also hosted forums in partnership with The Fragrance Foundation, Perfumer and Flavorist Magazine and Robertet's natural perfume workshops, as well as an interactive scent installation with Takasago.

Dubbed the "Art Basel of the fragrance world," Elements Showcase is a tradeshow with the ambiance of an art fair, dedicated to presenting the world's best brands across all apothecary categories: perfume, bath and body, skincare, color, nail, hair, men's grooming, home fragrance.

"The event is meant to highlight design-oriented beauty brands in an open atmosphere, to encourage conversation and discovery," noted Women's Wear Daily.

The 5th edition of Elements Showcase will take place on January 28th and 29th, 2013, in New York City.
