Obama to Vacation with Gay Couple in Palm Springs

After Donald Trump's inauguration Friday, when he'll be sworn in as the 45th president of the United States, the Obama family will head to the West Coast for a vacation - specifically to the Palm Springs home of their longtime friends, U.S. ambassador to Spain James Costos and his husband Michael Smith, the interior designer for the White House since 2008, according to a report from TMZ.

The house is located in Rancho Mirage, near Palm Springs, inside the Thunderbird Heights gated community that spreads over 8 acres. TMZ notes the Obamas have stayed at the couple's home four times prior to this visit.

TMZ further reports security will be strict and officials will be checking the IDs of people who come in and out of the area.
