Watch: Teaser Drops for HBO's 'Somebody Somewhere'

A new teaser has dropped for HBO's "Somebody Somewhere," showing clips from the series' upcoming third and final season. The teaser gives an upbeat, cheery vibe as Sam (Bridget Everett) and her gay bff Joel (Jeff Hiller) joke around and join in celebrations, Variety noted.
The entertainment news outlet relayed that "Sam seems to be settling into her hometown of Manhattan, Kan. and finally finding her peace after her sister Holly's death."
As the teaser commences Sam finds a tiny onesie emblazoned with the words "Worlds Smallest Fanilow." The implication seems to be that the piece of infantwear belonged to her gay bestie Joel, who she asks, "Can I keep this?" When Joel agrees but asks the reason, Sam cracks, "It's got just enough give to pop over these things," as she positions the garment over her own chest, suggesting that she would use it as a top.
"Hi, I'm Joel's best friend," Sam adds, as they both burst into laughter.
The joviality continues as the two friends attend what looks like a Thanksgiving dinner with their singing group and a bottle of wine topples over, spilling into another guest's lap.
In another snippet, Joel faces up to the house and hops out of his car exclaiming, "No, no, no, no... I got a 911!" His crabbed gait suggests he is suffering a bout of diarrhea.
As he jogs toward the front door, he adds: "Oh, God! Oh! It's coming out!"
"Here, I'll help," Sam – who is obscured in the doorway – says.
"What are you talking about?" Joel shrieks.
More scenes of friendship and community flash by as the teaser comes to an end.
Running for a total of 14 episodes so far over two seasons, the award-winning series addresses the domestic travails of Everett's main character, Sam, as well as the meaningful friendships she develops while stranded in a midlife funk in her Kansas hometown.
Not incidentally, those friendships are largely with the town's LGBTQ+ community. (Everett is a straight LGBTQ+ ally, and the show is based on her own life.)
The show's log line for the upcoming season says that Sam continues "struggling to fit the hometown mold."
"Grappling with loss and acceptance, singing is Sam's saving grace and leads her on a journey to discover herself and a community of outsiders who don't fit in but don't give up, showing that finding your people, and finding your voice, is possible," the log line adds. "In Season 3, we see growth against all odds."
"Cast members for Season 3 include Everett, Jeff Hiller, Mary Catherine Garrison, Tim Bagley, Murray Hill, Jennifer Mudge, Mercedes White, Meighan Gerachis and newcomer Ólafur Darri Ólafsson," Variety said.
Season 3 "premieres on HBO and Max Sunday, Oct. 27," Variety added.
