Conor McGregor says he "crushed" and "can't go on like this" as he waits for law enforcement to determine if he faces further legal action after his arrest for attempted sexual assault at a Corsican bar, the Daily Mail reports.

The 32-year-old former UFC fighter, known as "Notorious," was arrested late last week after accusations that he "' 'exhibited his private parts' to a young married woman in a bar on the island of Corsica," writes the Daily Mail.

"The UFC fighter is now waiting for the results of 'key physical tests' and 'the examination of film evidence' before learning whether he will be re-arrested."

"TV broadcaster France 3 Corse said it had spoken to a friend of the alleged victim," reports The Sun.

"According to a witness who spoke with the complainant that same evening and whom we were able to question, McGregor, accompanied by his bodyguards, allegedly exhibited his private parts to the young woman without her consent as she made her way into the bar toilets."

What happened, the source said "deeply shocked the woman, who was on holiday in Calvi with her husband".

"The source said he had no information as to whether McGregor also assaulted the woman, who has not been identified," adds The Sun.

McGregor got into a Twitter fight with users in which he said he felt he was being "ridiculed" at a "horrendous time in my life," saying: "I am trying to stay strong for my kids and the people that rely on me and that love and support me," writes the Daily Mail. McGregor subsequently deleted the texts.

In one post he wrote: "I can't go on like this man. I am crushed here."

McGregor has denied the wrongdoing. And on Twitter a user cites his manager coming forward about the accusations:
