Six of the Best Places to Travel in the US
READ TIME: 4 MIN.
Do you plan on doing any traveling later on in the year or next? If so, there are plenty of destinations that you can travel to in the US. Want to travel to a place where you can walk into any casino in Vegas?
Or how about seeing the sights and sounds of New York City? Whether you want to fly, drive, or take a train you do not want to miss out on traveling to these places that America has to offer. With that said, let's take a look at our first destination right now:
1. Las Vegas
Sin City is known for its many casinos. Even the Las Vegas Strip is packed with gambling and entertainment options more than you know what to do with. If you are thinking about traveling here, it's important to plan your trip in advance (depending on how long you are staying).
Want to see a few shows? Go for it. Want to gamble at some of the finest casinos that you can walk into? It can be done.
There are plenty of activities to do and places to visit. But traveling to a place like Vegas will take some pre-travel intel. Do some research and check out the places you might enjoy (and skip the ones that don't seem all that enjoyable to you).
Whether you want to visit Caesar's Palace or check out one of the many shows, Las Vegas might be the place to be for you, your friends, or maybe that special someone.
2. Orlando, Florida
If you are planning a family vacation, you'd be crazy not to pass up the opportunity to visit Orlando, Florida. This is home to Walt Disney World and many of its theme parks. You can visit Epcot one day and go on a safari at the Animal Kingdom the next.
Are you a fan of roller coasters? There's plenty of them there. Let's not forget the thrill rides like the legendary Tower of Terror.
There is plenty to do at Walt Disney World. If you're spending a week here, be sure to plan your days out ahead of time. Also, you can use the Disney Experience app while you're staying at one of the resorts (or if you're staying off the complex). Either way, the app will make your experience at Disney World very enjoyable.
3. Atlantic City, New Jersey
OK, maybe Vegas may not be your kind of place. Or maybe you want to do some gambling but want to travel someplace closer (assuming you live in the eastern US). If there is one place that we can think of, it's Atlantic City.
This tourist city located on the Jersey Shore is home to a handful of casinos and entertainment options. It's not like Vegas where you have so much to choose from. But there are still options aplenty for you and your vacation entourage.
4. New York City
The Big Apple is the largest city in the United States. With five boroughs that comprise the entire city, there is always a place where you can visit. If you're in Manhattan, there's plenty of places to visit like Times Square, the Empire State Building, and even Broadway.
If you hop on over to Queens, make sure you check out one of their best-kept secrets: food trucks. In fact, there are lots of them on every street corner. If you're flying into JFK or LaGuardia, you'll be in Queens en route to your destination.
But you will never leave the borough without at least seeing a few food trucks serving everything from pizzas, ethnic foods, and so much more. If you find yourself in the Bronx, you can check out the Bronx Zoo or even a baseball game at Yankees Stadium (oh...and there is Citi Field where the Mets play in Queens).
The "Greatest City In The World" might just be the best vacation spot for you and the entire family. After all, what better place than New York to make memories last a lifetime?
5. Los Angeles
Next, we'll be taking a look at Los Angeles. This southern California city is home to Hollywood. If you are a sucker for movies, this might just be the place for you.
But that doesn't stop there. You can even visit some of the beaches in nearby Hermosa Beach or Redondo Beach. Perhaps you should check out the world-famous Santa Monica Pier.
Also, the Walk of Fame is a can't miss place to check out. All the names of celebrities past and present can be found here. Who knows...you might find the star with your favorite actor's name on it and take a selfie.
Los Angeles is the second-largest city in the United States. So if you are looking for a lot to do in one city, then this might be the place.
6. Memphis, Tennessee
If you like BBQ and Elvis, then you know that you have to visit Memphis. Memphis has some great BBQ foods and you probably won't get enough of it. After chowing down on some ribs or pulled pork, be sure to check out the King of Rock and Roll's Graceland. The home of Elvis is now a museum with so many artifacts and exhibits throughout his illustrious musical and movie career.
Since it's located near the Mississippi River, you might want to hop on a riverboat and see the sites and hear the sounds.
Final Thoughts
If you are looking to do some traveling, these six places listed above might be worth checking out. Come for the gambling, the food, and the fun but stay for the memories that you can make. Traveling is where you write the stories that you can tell your friends and family when you get home.
These places listed above are what we like to call our "must-visit" cities. And there might be plenty of "you had to be there stories" to be told once your vacation is said and done.
